The pinnacle of Jamaican mellow modern soul! Produced by Bob Marley's wife, Rita Marley, CASUAL-T's ultra-rare 1982 album, "Prescriptions For Love," a symbol of modern soul and rare groove, is being reissued on LP for the first time!
Released in 1982 by Rita Marley Music, the label run by Bob Marley's wife, Rita Marley, CASUAL-T's "Prescriptions For Love" is still shrouded in mystery, but its mellow feel, rustic visuals, and rarity as it was pressed in extremely small quantities make it a coveted album for diggers, known as a symbol of modern soul and rare groove! The album is packed with early '80s US modern soul and disco vibes, starting with the refreshing opening number "Don't Play With Sparks" (M1) with its EW&F-inspired horns and chorus. The album then moves on to the disco-inspired groove of "Hands Off" (M2), the breezy "All Out Of Breath" (M3), the hip-stomping urban soul of "Thank You For Your Love" (M7), and the unique reggae-style "I Want You Here With Me" (M8) with its sophisticated chorus. Finally, the album closes with two sweet soul tracks, "Let's Hold On" (M9) and "You Never Walk Alone" (M10). This is a superb modern soul album, newly remastered and the first official LP reissue!
