Maria Muldaur "Louisiana Love Call" LP
★First press limited edition
Maria Muldaur, the singer who continues to convey the charm of American roots music such as blues, jazz, and folk, has released two albums from the 1990s for Black Top, the most important label for newly recorded blues at the time, which are now available on LP for the first time in the world!
This 1992 black top album was delivered with love from New Orleans by the diva of American roots music. As the title suggests, this is a special and rare work in her 60-year career that pursues the music of Louisiana, including New Orleans, and features Aaron and Charles Neville in addition to her old friends Amos Garrett and Dr. John. The album opens with "Second Line," a New Orleans-like second line beat by John Cleary, and includes the title track, which is enhanced by Aaron Neville's chorus and Amos Garrett's guitar, a cover of JJ Cale's "Cajun Moon," and two duets with Dr. John, "Best Of Me" and "Layin' Right Here In Heaven," as well as other gems that exude the scent of the American South.
