Henry Franklin, the legendary bassist who performed with The Three Sounds, Gene Harris, Freddie Hubbard, Hampton Hawes, and others and was the most constantly ringing bassist in LA, has finally been reissued on vinyl after nearly 50 years, with his first album as a leader released in 1972!

Henry "Skipper" Franklin, a veteran bassist from LA who has released more than 20 leader albums to date, released his first leader album in 1972. It was engineered by Gene Russell, founder of Black Jazz Records, and created with seven musicians from LA. This album starts with the epic 10-minute song "Outbreak," in which saxophone, drums, and Henry's bass intertwine groovy, and in M2 "Plastic Creek Stomp," the saxophone with a mellow saxophone stretches out in a grandiose way. After that, it is a masterpiece with a lineup of various types of masterpieces, such as M3 "Theme For Jojo," which has a minimal number of sounds and a moody finish! In particular, M5 "Little Miss Laurie," which will pierce fans of genres such as bossa nova and soul, will give you blissful time for 7 minutes!
