Glasgow's treasure Teenage Fanclub's eagerly awaited new album, their 10th overall, and their first in 4 and a half years!
The unmistakable TFC style beautiful melodies and harmonies are even more sad, gentle and warm... A masterpiece of healing and hope that resonates even more in the current era!
Teenage Fanclub, a treasured alternative rock band from Glasgow, Scotland, has completed their 10th album, their first in 4 and a half years since their previous album ``Here'' in 2016! After Gerald Love left the band in 2018, former Gorky's Zygotic Manki frontman Eiros Childs joined as a new member. Even though the songwriters are now Norman Blake and Raymond McGinley, the charm of TFC remains unchanged, and this time too, it is a masterpiece that you can enjoy to the fullest with their beautiful melodies and harmonies!
The album itself was said to have been almost completed before the COVID-19 pandemic hit, but the title track repeats the words "Don't be afraid of the never-ending arcade. That's life," and "The Future" sings, "It's hard to walk into the future in shoes made of lead...But let's see the scenery we've never seen before." These songs, which contain messages about accepting reality while moving forward, resonate with even greater meaning in today's world. This is a wonderful album that could only have been created by TFC, who have grown older and become veterans, and brings gentle hope and healing to listeners!
