This is the first album by Marcus Belgrave, a trumpet player who has built his career with Motown Records and in Ray Charles' backing band, and was born from his encounter with the legendary Detroit jazz label TRIBE. In addition to the two founders of TRIBE, Wendell Harrison and Phil Ranelin, the renowned keyboardist Harold McKinney, who also released his own album as a leader on TRIBE, and drummer Roy Brooks, whose credits include classic albums by Chet Baker, Horace Silver, and others, participate in this album!
