Following their only album, the Chicago girl group THE LOVELITES have released a collection of singles and unreleased material! This superb compilation is so rich it surpasses the album itself!

THE LOVELITES, a Chicago girl trio led by Patti Hamilton, released their only album in 1970, which is now a rare record. This compilation includes singles released from 1970 to 1975 on the label Lovelight, which was set up for them by the famous Chicago producer Clarence Johnson, as well as unreleased works from that time. From light numbers that are typical of Chicago to mellow ballads and dance numbers with a modern feel, the songs showcase the powerful singing voices of the group, which could be called a female version of the Impressions. Three previously unreleased covers, "Betcha By Golly Wow" by the Stylistics, "Got To Be There" by Michael Jackson, and "I've Been Gone" by the Righteous Brothers, are also excellent.
