THE LOVELITES are a teenage girl trio from Chicago, led by Patti Hamilton. This is the only album produced by the city's leading producer Clarence Johnson (and Johnny Cameron). Johnson, who also demonstrated his excellent skills in the work of fellow Chicago kids group Brighter Sides of Darkness, creates a superb Chicago sound, and the cute and emotional vocals and harmonies are backed by this! Focusing on slow to medium tempos that are also popular in the lowrider scene, they perform singing voices that rival adults, which is hard to believe they are teenagers. A true masterpiece featured in the US Black Disc Guide.
