Mamas Gun, the UK new soul band that has received tremendous support not only from soul/funk listeners but also from a wide range of people with their unique sense of melody, has completed their long-awaited new album! Their sweet style, which could be said to be the UK's answer to Silk Sonic, is sure to become a new masterpiece of modern soul!Starting with #1 "When You Stole The Sun From The Sky," a superb slow number with graceful strings, the album continues with #6 "Party For One," featuring the pleasant, clear horn tones, #4 "Good Love," which explodes with Andy's natural pop sense from a bouncy intro phrase, the title track #8 "Cure The Jones," where Andy's beautiful falsetto resonates and fuzzy guitar adds color to the ending, and #9 "You're Too Hip," featuring an impressive doo-wop-style chorus. The album is a superb collection of soul numbers with a more vintage feel while retaining the band's natural variety and charm. The album is a sweet one, combining Andy's signature pop sensibility with his yearning for 70's soul, which is also present in Silk Sonic, with a freshness that echoes the mellow AOR of Andy's other project, Young Gun Silver Fox.
