Letting Up Despair Great Faults "IV" CD

★3 bonus tracks exclusive to the Japanese version

Letting Up Despite Great Faults has perfected their own unique sound by incorporating electronic synth sounds into shoegaze, and has been so popular that they have even performed in Japan four times. Now they have released their first new album in eight years!

LUDGF, also known as Letting Up Despite Great Faults, is originally from LA and is currently based in Austin, a city of music. LUDGF has attracted attention in Japan with their electro + shoegaze style, which they perfected in their debut album, Letting Up Despite Great Faults. They have performed with up-and-coming Japanese artists at the time, such as Lucky Tapes, HAPPY, and Awesome City Club, in their four previous visits to Japan, and there is no doubt that they were an important band that transcended the barriers between Japanese and Western music in the Japanese indie scene of the 2010s. Their fourth original album, IV, which will be released for the first time in about eight years, retains their distinctive dreamy shoegaze sound with electro, but has a more fast-paced indie sound than ever before. The album includes track 2 "Corners Pressed," which is reminiscent of 2010s US indie and is a spin-off from "Captured Tracks," track 4 "Gorgeous," which features irresistible synth phrases that are reminiscent of Nordic shoegaze such as Sweden, and track 6 "Gemini," a classic shoegaze song of the 2020s, which is no surprise given that it was mastered by Slow Dive drummer Simon Scott. This is an album that will reach not only traditional LUDGF and shoegaze fans, but also listeners who like indie pop!
