Lloyd Price "Music Music" CD
★Limited edition★Paper jacket specification
This is a superb mellow soul album by Lloyd Price, a New Orleans R&B/R&R singer and songwriter active since the 50s, who also had a huge influence in later years as president of the top rare groove band TSG! Don't talk about TSG (rare groove) without listening to this!
TSG Records was born from a meeting between Lloyd Price, an R&B/R&R singer and songwriter active since the 50s and inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998, and Don King, a big-name promoter who has worked on big boxing matches for Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson. This album, left by Lloyd Price himself, is a superb album full of mellow and soulful sounds, different from the image of Price as a legendary R&B and R&R musician! Starting with the opening number "What Did You Do With My Love" (M1), which is full of new soul feeling, the title track "Music - Music" (M2) with its pleasant chorus refrain, "Street Love" (M5) with its light guitar cutting and Caribbean taste, "You Brought It On Yourself" (M6) with its heart-wrenching melody, and Frederick Knight's superb mellow soul "Uphill Peace Of Mind" (M7), this masterpiece with its modern sound and tasteful vocals is being reissued for the first time in the original TSG jacket version!
