North Carolina vocal and instrumental group Brief Encounter. Following their flawless first album, released in 1981, their second album has been reissued in a paper jacket with the original jacket! The original LP is also extremely rare, a killer modern soul/boogie album!

Brief Encounter is a nine-piece vocal and instrumental group centered around the four Bailey brothers from North Carolina. Their second album, "We Want To Play," released in 1981 on the Music Town label, has been reissued to coincide with the release of their singles collection! It features two songs featuring female singer Julia Grant, the beautiful melody medium "Just For Love" and the superb mellow groove "Sweet Tender Loving," as well as the title track "We Want To Play For You" and "Open Up Your Heart," the best boogie tunes, and a sweet, melting ballad, making it a masterpiece that is in no way inferior to the first album! Although not as rare as the first, the original version is also extremely rare. The 2005 reissue CD is now trading for over 5,000 yen, so this is a long-awaited re-release on CD.
