★Additional bonus tracks included on the Japanese domestic CD edition
The British Blues strikes back! Introducing "THE BAD DAY BLUES BAND," a solid groove band from Soho, London, that inherits the spirit of the Yardbirds and the Stones!
The long-awaited first album by this promising new star on the UK blues scene, who has been recommended on BBC RADIO 2 and selected for the DIGITAL BLUES AWARDS - NEW BLUES BAND 2019, is now available!
The Japanese domestic CD includes a cover of "Hoochie Coochie Man," a song famously sung by Muddy Waters, the father of Chicago blues, as an additional bonus track!
While bands that inherit the classic rock/R&B manner such as VINTAGE TROUBLE and THE STRUTS are appearing one after another, THE BAD DAY BLUES BAND is attracting attention as the heirs of British blues. Formed in 2017 at Ain't Nothin' But the Blues Bar, a long-established blues bar in Soho, London, the band has captured the hearts of Londoners with their straightforward blues & rock and rugged visuals, and has been featured in a wide range of media such as BBC RADIO 2, LONDON LIVE TV, PLANET ROCK RADIO, and BASS GUITAR MAGAZINE. In 2019, they won the BEST NEW BLUES BAND 2020 at the DIGITAL BLUES AWARDS. They are a band that is active mainly in their hometown of London. This is their first full album, and it starts with an opening number that transforms the Sam & Dave classic "Hold On (I'm comin')" into an edgy blues rock song, and continues with a manly groove that will have you listening to it all the way through! The Japanese version CD also includes a bonus track: a live cover of Muddy Waters' "Hoochie Coochie Man"!
