ROBOHANDS "Shapes" CD
★Pre-release in Japan★ Exclusively available on CD in Japan
This feeling is so good it's unfair. A blissful jazzy instrumental album is born, like a wind of paradise blowing through the streets! The high-class, cool and mellow sound world is sure to be listened to on repeat by fans of Tom Misch & Yusef Days, Alpha Mist, Khruangbin, Tortoise, and Tommy Guerrero!
Robohands, a solo project by Andy Baxter, a young London multi-instrumentalist/composer whose 2018 first album "Green" attracted worldwide attention, has completed his long-awaited third album! In addition to the main instrument drums, Baxter also plays guitar, bass, piano, synths, etc., creating a borderless, pleasurable trip sound that blends elements of jazz, hip-hop, post-rock, and ambient. The cutting-edge mood of the UK jazz scene that produced Tom Misch and Alpha Mist, the artistic feel of the Chicago Acoustic School such as Tortoise, and the laid-back street feel of the US West Coast reminiscent of Tommy Guerrero all flicker fantastically behind the mirage, but well, let's put such complicated things aside and just immerse yourself in this overwhelming feeling of comfort!
