A new series supervised by Kanazawa Toshikazu has begun!
A new series called "Light Mellow Searches" has been launched, supervised by music writer Kanazawa Toshikazu, to highlight current AOR and city pop artists and works, both Japanese and foreign! Please look forward to future releases!

The first release in this commemorative series is by Hi Red, a hotly anticipated Scandinavian AOR band! This album includes a cover of Bobby Caldwell's M11, and features Michael Landau (g), a talented band that is a must-have!

From Norway, the birthplace of Ole Boulud, a popular AOR singer-songwriter in Japan, comes the superb AOR/Blue Eyed Soul band, who are also part of Ole's circle of friends! Hi Red's debut album features a sound that brings the 70's urban groove back to life in the modern era, and the soulful and rich singing of the American leader/vocalist Adam Douglas. As if to prove their talent, one of the world's leading session guitarists, Michael Landau, makes a guest appearance on track 4, "Can't Take It Anymore"! Furthermore, popular US singer-songwriter Marc Brassard also co-wrote and provided songs for the band (tracks 1 & 10), making them a band that has won the trust of musicians.
Listen to M1 "I Got It Bad" with its urban mid-groove and elegant live strings, M2 "Favor To Ask" in the style of early Hall & Oates, and M3 "Flower in Bloom" with its mellow and gentle classic, and you'll be hooked on Hi Red. All the songs from then on are equally good, and the last song, "Carry On", a cover of Bobby Caldwell, is also superb. A must-listen masterpiece for fans of old AOR and blue-eyed soul!
