A masterpiece from the "lo-fi hip hop" scene, a genre that is currently a hot topic among artists such as Randeshi and CYGN, is set to be released!
A nostalgic track that depicts a lyrical world, a beautiful groove woven by sophisticated and beautiful melodies and chord progressions, and an ensemble that will stir your emotions.

◆ Joshua Batista, also known as Ninjoi, is from Queens, New York. He is heavily influenced by jazzy hip-hop such as Nujabes and Michita, which were imported from Japan in the early 2000s, as well as J. Dilla, and his name Ninjoi is a combination of the words "ninja" and "enjoy."

◆His sources of inspiration are Japanese culture and animation, but also range from old jazz from the 60s and 70s to the current beat-making scene. In addition to the melancholy melodies of the piano and guitar, some of which he plays himself, and the smooth and mellow beats, he also performs his own vocals over simple yet powerful lyrics in the latter half of the work. He even worked on the artwork and art direction of the album jacket, which features a cute illustration, himself, fully demonstrating his talent.

◆In 2019, he toured with Kero One in his native America, and appeared at Tokyo Recordings ROOM with Yaffle, OBKR (Obukuro Nariaki) and others at the event "LOST IN KARAOKE" at RED BULL MUSIC FESTIVAL TOKYO 2018 held in Japan last year. He was introduced by Utammaru on TBS Radio's "After 6 Junction," and is steadily gaining listeners in Japan, so keep an eye on his future developments. There is no doubt that he has a great influence on the lo-fi hip-hop scene.
