Grit is a legendary heavy psychedelic band formed in Islington, North London, in 1970. The band, which had been performing live with guitarist Frank "Spider" Martinez at the center, recorded three demos in December 1972, but were unable to sign a contract with a record company. The band broke up in the summer of 1973 without releasing any work. They had been forgotten for a long time, but in 2015, Hans Pokora, a world-renowned collector of rare psychedelics, discovered an acetate record of only two pressings (some say three) at a flea market in Germany. He introduced it as "6," the rarest record, in his book "7001 Record Collector Dreams," commonly known as the "Pokora Book," and it became a hot topic. After a search by people involved and enthusiasts, Martinez's whereabouts were discovered. This work, which uses the master tapes he owns, finally reveals the full story! Martinez's fuzzed heavy riffs and sharp leads, influenced by Cream, Jimi Hendrix and John Mayall, and Jeff Ball's Robert Plant-like shouts, reveal the band's extraordinary potential.
