GIG (Goodrum, Innis, Gaich) "Wisdom and Madness" CD

★SHM-CD
★Supervision and commentary: Kanazawa Toshikazu (Light Mellow)

The second album by GIG, a project by Randy Goodrum, Dave Innis and Bruce Gaich! A masterpiece that surpasses their first!

"Randy Goodrum, whose latest solo album 'RED EYE' has been well-received, has released the second album of GIG, a three-piece unit formed with Bruce Gaich, a guitarist well-known in Japan for his work supporting Dave Innis of Restless Heart and Peter Cetera. Randy's gentle pop taste is fragrantly mixed with the essence of AOR, jazz and country. Keith Carlock (drums), John Patitucci (bass), Brandan Fields (sax) and Janie Kluwer (back vocals) also take part in this new presentation for discerning music fans." -- Kanazawa Toshikazu

GIG's sophomore effort, Wisdom and Madness, is an album firmly built on an extremely solid foundation of songs. The individual members are as different as possible, yet they gel as a project with an even sound. Wisdom and Madness was purposefully crafted as an exercise in uncompromising creative adventure. The resulting 11 songs are willfully eclectic, and just as multi-layered, thoughtful, and astute as the artists themselves: "We always want the listener to wonder, 'What's coming next?'"
