Trombonist Nicol Thomson (Incognito, Level 42, etc.), who also works on horn arrangements for Young Gun Silver Fox's works, is still fresh in our memory with the brilliant debut album "Studio City" (2021) by Superhighway Band, another horn-driven band he teamed up with Shawn Lee of YGSF. Horn House is a project he launched with trumpeter Tom Walsh (Van Morrison, Blur, etc.), who has also participated in SHB and YGSF works. This is a funky, mellow and extremely comfortable debut album with more vocal elements than SHB. YGSF also participates in the title track!
