Jun Miyake "Lost Memory Theater act-3" CD

Jun Miyake, a world-renowned composer best known for his collaborations with Pina Bausch and Wim Wenders, and his arrangement of the national anthem "Kimigayo" for the Rio Olympics, has finally completed the final installment of his Lost Memory Theatre, a trilogy of fantasy and awakening about lost memories!

"If there was a theater somewhere where people's lost memories flow, what kind of music would play there?" - After coming up with this idea, Miyake spent 16 years coming up with the album "Lost Memory Theatre act-1" in 2013. The album, which gave listeners an intense musical experience as if they were wandering through a labyrinth of memories, won the Music Critics' Award and Best Album of the Year awards in music magazines in France and Germany, and was met with great acclaim around the world, including Gilles Peterson's special program on the BBC. The following year, in 2014, Miyake released "act-2," which explored even deeper into memory. Lost Memory Theatre has grown into a project that Miyake himself considers his "life's work."

And now, the final installment of the series, "act-3," has been completed. It features the voices of legendary figures such as Greek national singer Dimitra Galani, dancer Nazareth Panadero (who has been active since the founding of Pina Bausch's company) and actress Mechtild Grossman, as well as young talents such as the rising star of Brazilian music, Bruno Capinan. The play of fantasy and awakening, performed by a truly diverse and unique cast, has been completed as a masterpiece of 19 songs in total. By collaging the "voices" of Dairo Miyamoto and Remi Kolpa-Copoul, who passed away during the production period, Miyake has imprinted a layered "memory" in the work.
