Formed in NYC and currently active in Seattle, Bubble Tea and Cigarettes has released their second album, "We should've killed each other"! The dreamy, creamy sound and Kat's whispery voice combine to create a fascinating worldview that will take you to a dream!

Bubble Tea and Cigarette is a dream pop duo formed in NYC in 2020 and currently based in Seattle by Andi and Kat. Their debut album, There's Nothing But Pleasure, released in 2022, attracted attention for its fantastical dream pop and retro, nostalgic mood. The album's release tour was a huge success not only in the United States, but also in Asia, where the duo's roots lie.

The band's second album, "we should've killed each other," was completed amid rising expectations, and while it continues the sound that Bubble Tea and Cigarettes expressed in their debut album, it is a work that allows you to imagine a more enchanting and nostalgic worldview as a picture. The dreamy and beautiful psychedelia that opens "Dead Flowers" spreads in your mind, and the vocals and Kat's whisper voice burn a picture like a scene from a movie. The guitar that creates dynamism, as seen at the beginning of the second song "Plane Crush," also plays an active role, and I feel an evolution from the previous work. And the nostalgic indie pop with Bubble Tea and Cigarettes-like synth sound in "French Movie" is just comfortable, and you can just jump into the world of a 60's French movie. For the last 30 minutes until "Glider," a gift from Bubble Tea and Cigarettes that allows you to forget reality and trip to another world.
