ROJI "Wakariaenai koto kara" CD
Roji, who are not limited to the framework of a band, perform a wide range of songs with each member writing their own lyrics and composing, and have kozue (vocals) with a distinctive, crystal clear voice. They have announced the release of their new album "From What We Can't Understand," which has a "chill out" concept and adds elements of R&B, soul, minimal, neo-acoustic, and more to traditional indie pop!
Based in Tama Denentoshi, "Roji" has released three full albums since its formation in 2014 and has performed at festivals such as the Ringo Music Festival and the TINY GARDEN FESTIVAL. This time, their fourth album, "Wakareakanai Kara Kara," will be released for the first time in about two years! The album title, "From Not Being Understood," expresses "affirmation of a future that doesn't end with resignation or complexes," and the songs are centered around introspective lyrics that "estimate the distance between oneself and others, ideals and reality, two opposing senses of distance." This work was produced by carefully selecting songs from demos brought by Atsushi Kubota (guitar) and Yuzo Suzuki (guitar/keyboard), who have been influenced by a wide variety of genres, and features the clear voice of kozue (vocals), which adds elements of R&B, soul, minimal, neo-acoustic, and other elements to traditional indie pop, making this a new album with a "chill out" concept and featuring a variety of songs that are not bound by the framework of a band!
