Toru Egami "SHOOT I SAY" CD
Adult rock with a bold sound that inherits the spirit of rock'n'roll and blues, and a hard-boiled, gentle voice! Toru Egami, who was active in Paris-Texas and GREEN in the 90s, and in the Rokkaku Seiji Band in the 00s, has finally released his first solo album!
This is the first solo album by Toru Egami, who was also active in Paris-Texas and Seiji Rokkaku Band. The first thing that surprises you is the variety of sounds. There are sparkling mellow grooves and Phil Spector-style natural pop songs, drunken good-time music, anti-war folk with harmonica, and even dirty dub tunes. The skill of fully opening up his rich musical vocabulary and freely varying the tempo is the vividness that only a veteran can have, but the tone of the entire album is consistent because the tough spirit of rock and roll and blues is the basis of all the songs. In addition to his outstanding guitar playing, his sweet and spicy vocals, which are full of sensuality, despair, and kindness, are really good. The greatest appeal of this album is his hard-boiled and gentle singing voice, which sounds like he is taking a break from all the troubles of adulthood. Music that is seriously filled with the sophistication of a man is bound to be cool.
