FRANCIS ROCCO PRESTIA “Everybody On The Bus” CD
★2020 remastered edition
*SHM-CD specifications
Francis Rocco Prestia was the great bassist who supported the backbone of the number one white funk band, Tower of Power. To mourn his untimely passing, we are reissuing his only solo album, produced in Japan in 1998!
Francis Rocco Prestia passed away at the age of 69. The sound of Tower of Power would not have been born without his one and only bass. He supported Tower of Power since its formation in 1968 and influenced many bassists and artists, and released his first and only solo album in 1998. The golden rhythm section with Rocco and the one and only drummer David Garibaldi, who supported the backbone of TOP in the 1970s with Rocco, is back for the first time in 22 years! In addition, new and old members of TOP are gathered together. In addition to Rocco and Garibaldi, it is moving to hear the performance of the four of them, Bruce Conte (g) and Chester Thompson (org). In addition, many singers such as Bill Champlin (formerly of Chicago) also participate. From funk rock to AOR-style songs, this is a fulfilling album. Long live the pukupuku bass!
