Alvaro Lancelotti "Canto De Marajo" CD
The younger brother of the very popular Domenico, Alvaro, was also a genius!
This is a blissful acoustic Brazilian pop work with a laid back sound that includes full participation from his brother! Mixed by Mario Caldato Jr.!
Despite being an independent release, this masterpiece was selected by Brazil's largest newspaper, O GLOBO, in their "Top 10 Best Albums of 2016" alongside David Bowie, Radiohead, Beyonce, Bon Iver, Anohni, and others. Now available in Japan!
The second solo album by Alvaro Lancelotti (aka Alvinho Lancelotti), the younger brother of Domenico Lancelotti, the most important drummer/producer in the contemporary Brazilian music scene, leader of the alternative band Fino Corretivo, and also a songwriter who has written songs for Maria Hita and Marcos Valle. The viola and percussion float gently, the electric guitar and synths create a three-dimensional ambience, Domenico adds a pleasant stimulation with the drums and MPC, and Alvaro's languid singing voice swims through them... While it is undoubtedly a sound world that symbolizes the current cutting-edge Brazilian music scene, the laid-back comfort that makes you want to immerse yourself in it forever is overwhelming.
