The debut album by Spacecake International, a band consisting of Orlando Lando, a member of the London soul-jazz funk collective Big Cheese All Stars, also known for the participation of saxophonist Chris Bowden, and Italian musicians, has finally been released on CD in Japan! This album is a wonderful fusion of the supple texture of 70's soul, the funky groove and mellow atmosphere of bluesy acid jazz, and the outstanding songwriting sense that has passed through Steely Dan-style AOR, creating a deep sound!
