CALEB HAWLEY “Circular Thing” CD
★Bonus tracks exclusive to the Japanese version
★Pre-release in Japan
★Commentary: Akira Obuchi (CITY SOUL)
The latest work from Caleb Howley, a leader in the current US soul-funk scene alongside Vulfpeck and Joey Dosik! Neo-soul for adults with a mellow sound reminiscent of Tom Misch and Jordan Rakai!
"A city soul man who knows the appeal of soul/R&B, AOR, and blue-eyed soul. A long-awaited latest work that will get your heart pumping with a series of pleasant melodies and sounds" - Akira Obuchi (CITY SOUL)
Born in Minneapolis, USA, and currently based in NYC, he is a neo-soul singer-songwriter. With a vocal style and production that seems to have inherited the DNA of his fellow countryman Prince, he has attracted attention as a new generation Minneapolis sound, and has participated in Corey Wong (Vulfpeck)'s "Motivational Music For The Syncopated Soul," which was a hot topic due to Tom Misch's participation, and has performed live with Theo Katzman (Vulfpeck) and Joey Dosik, making him an artist who is currently leading the US soul-funk scene. This is his first studio album in a year, after his long-awaited first visit to Japan at last year's "Local Green Festival' 19." This is neo-soul for adults who have passed through the current soul-funk scene through the Minneapolis sound of Prince! The Japanese version exclusive bonus tracks include a live session with Theo Katzman, "U&I," and a cover of Stevie Wonder's "You Are The Sunshine of My Life"!
