This album features string arrangements by Paul Von Martenson, known for his work with Paul McCartney and Elton John, and Ken Stringfellow, known for his work as a member of The Posies and for participating in REM's works!
Formed in 2016 by songwriter Matthew Ajalap, the Chicago-born band that professes influences from The Dramatics, The Isley Brothers, Leroy Hutson, Jamie Liddell, Raphael Saadiq, and others, has just completed their debut album!
Starting with the debut single "Come Back / Think I'm Falling In Love," which displays outstanding melody and songwriting skills that would put even Mama's Gun / Young Gun Silver Fox to shame, this album is a wonderful mix of the uplifting feeling of soul music, the Motown sound of Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gaye, and the blue-eyed soul and AOR sounds of Todd Rundgren, giving it the atmosphere of the golden age of the 70s! It took about two years to release, and 19 months to record, making it a perfect debut album that was carefully crafted down to the last detail!
