Lisa Papineau, who has captivated many musicians with her overwhelming vocal expression and is a regular in Jun Miyake's works, has released her latest solo album in Japan through Jun Miyake's label, Drape!

Lisa Papineau is a US singer-songwriter who has contributed songs and sang for many artists, including AIR, M83, and Omar Rodriguez Lopez, and has also made headlines with her unit Big Sir with Juan Alderete (The Mars Volta). She continues to work while battling the incurable disease multiple sclerosis, and in recent years she was featured prominently on the album by Halo Orbit (a project by Buffalo Daughter's Sugar Yoshinaga, Mark Juliana, and Juan Alderete). Above all, she has frequently visited Japan as an indispensable presence in Jun Miyake's works and live performances.

This is her latest solo album, released mainly through distribution in 2019. In addition to her friend Juan Alderete, Money Mark and Cedric Bixler-Zavala (Mars Volta/At the Drive-In) also participated in the recording. The alternative pop, which combines acoustic and electronic sounds, is sometimes graceful, sometimes noble, sometimes poignant, and sometimes sprinkled with ethnic moods and experimentalism, creating a diverse world one after another. And the overwhelming splendor of Lisa's singing voice that dominates it all - this masterpiece, which combines pop and artistic qualities at a high level, is a must-listen for all female vocal fans, regardless of genre.
