Blueprint Blue "Tourist" CD
★Bonus tracks will be included
It feels so good!
A laid-back indie pop masterpiece that combines yacht rock and nostalgic singer-songwriter elements!
A perfect fusion of the dreamy and heartwarming comfort of Whitney and Yo La Tengo, the chic of 70's yacht rock and soft rock, and the nostalgia of James Taylor and Neil Young! This super talented musician from London was also selected as the opening act for Paul Simon's Hyde Park concert (2018)!
Blueprint Blue is a four-piece band from London whose popularity has increased by 50% just because they took their band name from the lyrics of Steely Dan's famous song "Peg". Members Hugh Webb and Elliot Hayward are the younger brothers of Reece and Joshua from The Horrors, respectively, and the only female drummer, Melissa Rigby, used to be a member of SCUM along with Hugh. Furthermore, they have an extraordinary track record, with the songs on their EP being produced by Mazzy Star's David Roback. The best part is that they appeared at Paul Simon's farewell concert held in Hyde Park in London in July 2018! Even before their album debut, they achieved the feat of being selected as the opening act for the event, which also featured big-name guests such as James Taylor and Bonnie Raitt! Their long-awaited first album is just amazing... The laid-back sound, which is heavily influenced by 70's yacht rock (AOR ~ West Coast rock) and singer-songwriters, is pop, dreamy, and relaxing with a modern youthful sense, and it feels great, like Yo La Tengo, Neil Young and Ned Doheny sandwiched together! It's a sound that doesn't sound like a UK band, but there's no band with such a sense even in the US! A must-listen album for the indie pop scene in 2019!
