A powerful collaboration between The Jazz Invaders and Azymuth has been realized!
Following on from Lonnie Smith, the popular Dutch jazz combo The Jazzinvaders have now teamed up with Azymuth, a band that continues to fascinate Brazilian/jazz/fusion fans around the world, to release a new album! From Azymuth's classic works such as "Tamborim, Cuica, Ganza, Berimbau" from "Aguia Nao Come Mosca (1977)" and "Partido Alto" and ", Jazz Carnival" from 1979's "Light As A Feather (1979)", to a cover of Milton Nascimento's "Circo Marinbondo", the album is packed with covers of historical masterpieces that have made their mark on Brazilian music!
Harmony created by a band of old and new craftsmen! The Jazz Invaders is a new jazz combo from the Netherlands. They have previously released a jazz-funk album called "That's What You Say!" with the legendary jazz organist Dr. Lonnie Smith, and their previous album "Find The Love" featured disco music, but they have also used their high performance skills to present a variety of styles of sound while still focusing on jazz. This time, they have released a new album with the theme of "Brazil" with Alex Malheiros and Ivan Conti from Azymuth, a band that reigns in the Brazilian music scene!
