Eric Tagg "Rendezvous" CD
★First edition limited edition paper jacket / Japanese commentary included
Blue-eyed soul singer-songwriter Eric Tagg's second album, "Rendezvous" (1977), has been reissued in a gatefold jacket that reproduces the original LP! The soulful and mellow sound, which has been compared to that of John Valenti, is a must-listen for modern soul and AOR fans!
Eric Tagg attracted attention in the early 80s when he participated as a singer and songwriter in the work of Lee Ritenour, a famous jazz/fusion guitarist. His soulful, warm and expansive singing voice has captivated many listeners, but his greatest appeal is his outstanding songwriting! The album is centered around a light bass line by his brother Larry Tagg, and is harmonious with stylish horn sections and strings, light piano phrases scattered throughout, and Eric's vocals in an exquisite balance, with a sound filled with a mellow feeling throughout, making it a masterpiece among masterpieces that represents 70's blue-eyed soul! For this reissue, the gatefold LP jacket based on a refreshing green base has been faithfully reproduced!
