This is the only recording by Lui Williams (Lui), who played at the resort hotel "Maui Surf" located in front of Kaanapali Beach on Maui, the second largest island in Hawaii. Songs such as the timeless jazz standard "My Funny Valentine" (M8) and the Hawaiian standard "Hawaiian Wedding Song" (M10), which is also a familiar song from the movie "Blue Hawaii" starring Elvis Presley, are performed in front of many tourists on a daily basis, and the acoustic arrangement gives a very relaxed performance. And the original songs "My Lover" (M2) and "Oh, Oh (I Think I'm Fallin' In Love)" (M5), which have a melting mellow and groove that has impressed free soul and AOR fans, should also be evaluated as masterpieces of "contemporary Hawaiian" music, which was created by Hawaiian musicians in the 1970s while being influenced by the US West Coast sound.
