PM is a US AOR group that made its major debut in 1988, produced by Elliot Shiner, famous as an engineer for Steely Dan. Their predecessor band, Left Lane (a quartet consisting of the three members of PM and a keyboardist), released their only work on the Swedish label Sison Music in 1985, and this rare and legendary album is available for the first time in Japan on CD! Peter Mayer, the central figure, is a highly regarded guitarist who is used alongside top studio musicians in the works of Dave Weckl and Jay Graydon, and has recently been active in Jimmy Buffett's Coral Reefer Band. The sound of this work, which is more jazzy and coolly intelligent than PM's, is extremely unique and high quality, crossing over Pat Metheny to Al Jarreau, Pages, and Gino Vannelli.
