AMOS AND SARA “Sing The Private World Of Amos” CD
A miraculous lo-fi post-punk mix of purity and ambition! A legendary cult classic (and obscure album) released only on cassette in 1981, now available exclusively on CD in Japan!
With an innocence reminiscent of everyone from The Raincoats to Daniel Johnston and even The Shaggs, this is a shocking, unknown sound that combines old jazz and exotica in a post-punk style!
Amos & Sara are a legendary cult duo from the UK who released only a few cassettes/analogs in the early 80s from their independent label "It's War Boys". Their legendary masterpiece (1981), which was suddenly reissued on LP by the maniac label "Sing A Song Fighter" in the summer of 2017, is now available on CD exclusively in Japan! At first listen, their lo-fi sound seems to be full of purity like Daniel Johnston, but it also has old jazz, jug band, mondo/exotica, tribal beats, and even experimental elements such as tape loops, making you wonder if they are actually quite musically savvy? You will be shocked by this strange, miraculous music that can be called a mutation born from a rebellious spirit against the depressed British society of the time!
