LOMELDA "Thx" CD
The melancholy, husky voice and the slightly psychedelic, floating sound are strangely addictive. This is the first new album from singer-songwriter Hannah Read's project, Romelda, to be released in Japan.
A new album from Hannah Read, a singer-songwriter from Silsbee, Texas, released by her project, Lomelda, on Double Double Whammy, a Brooklyn label that also has artists such as Frankie Cosmos. Hannah Read's husky voice is the center of her melancholic music, which is highly addictive. The slightly psychedelic folk rock sound of songs such as "Out There," which has already been released and is said to be inspired by Elliott Smith, is very appealing. Highly recommended for fans of artists such as Mazzy Star, Hope Sandoval, Japan's Eddy Makon, and Ide Kensuke and Mothership.
