Siv Jacobsen "The Nordic Mellow" CD
It's like a reincarnation of Vashti Bunyan! A dreamlike, ephemeral and mysterious world of beauty spun by this talented young woman from Norway...
A shining talent even in the current indie pop scene where folky sounds are back in the spotlight! Produced by Matt Ingram, who has worked with Laura Marling and Lianne La Havas, this is a highly anticipated album!
Ageless, natural, mysterious vocals, mysterious and deep melodies, and beautiful strings that evoke quiet emotion - the long-awaited debut album by young female singer-songwriter Siv Jacobsen, based in Oslo, Norway, following her debut EP "The Lingering" in 2015! The Nordic Mellow, as the title says it all, is sure to capture the hearts of not only indie pop fans who are excited about the folky sound revival these days, but also fans of famous folky female singer-songwriters of the past, such as Vashti Bunyan, Karen Dalton, Joni Mitchell, Judy Sill, and Bridget St. John. The lead song "Like I Used To" features Andrew Davey of the popular UK band Bear's Den. The album is produced by Matt Ingram, a talented UK producer who has worked with Laura Marling and Lianne La Havas, and is also the drummer for Jake Bugg, Michael Kiwanuka, and Florence + the Machine. In Norway, Indianer Music, which has pushed Team Me and High As Akaite to worldwide fame, is pushing this talent hard, so it's only a matter of time before they make it big on the world stage.
