The Sextones "Moonlight Vision" CD
EXTRA Smooth presents
Soulive drummer Alan Evans gives high praise!
A funk/soul band in the vein of EW&F and Tower of Power, they're a hot topic on the West Coast of the US! They're a promising band with a familiar, vintage, mellow beat! Their talent is genuine!
The Sextones are a vintage funk band that has been making waves on the West Coast and has previously shared the stage with Charles Bradley, Macy Gray, and Dumpstaphunk. This is the debut album from the Sextones! The predecessor band, Mark Sextone Band's Young & Naive ('13) was mixed by Alan Evans (Soulive), who praised their talent. Mark (vocals), Alexander (bass), and Daniel (drums) continued on from the previous band, and Ryan (keyboards) was added to form the band in '14. This is their first masterpiece, with songs such as the music video production song "Drunk Off Your Love," the refreshing mellow funk "Analog Girl," and the '70s soul-like "Goodbye Yesterday" reminiscent of Stevie Wonder!
