*Commentary: Daisuke Kuroda (kickin)
The shock is back! El Michels Affair, the ultimate deep funk band from Brooklyn, NY, has released a new album that funks up the classic songs of Wu-Tang Clan, who have made their mark in hip-hop history!
The album features the Wu-Tang Family's thick funk covers of hip-hop classics, including the masterpiece "Wu Tang Aint Nuthin to Fuck Wit" from Wu-Tang Clan's debut album "Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)" released in 1993, "Snakes" by fellow member Ol' Dirty Bastard, "Verbal Intercourse" by Raekwon, and "Shaolin Brew"! Also, be sure to check out the participation of Lee Fields, a living legend in the soul world who inherited the spirit of James Brown!
El Michels Affair is a talented funk band that has released works from well-known long-established and prestigious labels in the funk and hip-hop scene, such as Soul Fire, Daptone, Truth & Soul, and Fat Beats Records. The band is made up of members of the Dap-Kings, Antibalas, Budos Band, and Menahan Street Band, and is led by the talented Leon Michels, who is also known for writing songs for Dr. John, Adele, Jay-Z, and Aloe Blacc. This funk band is truly worthy of being called the strongest. This long-awaited new album is the sequel to the album ``Enter The 37th Chamber'', which was released in 2009 and caused a big stir.
