Domenico, aka Domenico Lancellotti (who is also a painter/sculptor!), is one of the busiest drummers, producers and composers in Brazil's cutting-edge pop scene over the past decade, and has been active in projects such as the "+2" project with Moreno Veloso and Casim, and has collaborated with a wide variety of artists including Adriana Calcagniotto. Now he has released his long-awaited new solo album, his first in six years since his previous album, "Cine Prive" (2011). This time, the album was recorded in Rio/London and co-produced with the UK's proud miniature pop craftsman, Sean O'Hagan (The High Llamas), and the London version was mixed by Andy Ramsay (Stereolab), breaking new ground! Domenico's unique fusion of stimulating rhythm work, post-rocking experimental sound making, and beautiful, albeit somewhat distorted, vocal world is still intact, and the elegant strings that Sean has sung throughout the album are so present that it sounds like a new High Llamas album, a pleasant surprise for Western indie fans!
