William Sikstrom “I Will Be Waiting” CD
A Nordic AOR supernova has appeared from Light Mellow Searches, supervised by Kanazawa Toshikazu! A promising young talent who is the post-Ole Buurd!
"At just 21 years old, William Seekstrom has a deep love for 70s and 80s AOR, including Steely Dan, Airplay and Pages. His shocking Japanese debut makes us keenly aware that Japan is not the only country where urban sound creators are becoming younger." -- Kanazawa Toshikazu
A must-see for all AOR fans, the young and talented singer-songwriter William Seekstrom makes his stunning Japanese debut from Scandinavia! He loves the AOR/West Coast sound of the 70s and 80s, such as Steely Dan, Pages, and Al Jarreau, and he brings it back to life with his amazing sense. He's only 21 years old! This album was recorded in his home studio in the quiet town of Umeå, Sweden, where he played most of the instruments himself, but it's hard to believe it was recorded at home, and it's of such amazing quality that it's hard to believe it's a debut album! The melody and sound are full of love for the great artists of the past, and he has a soft, beautiful voice. Following in the footsteps of his senior from neighboring Norway, Ole Boord, who is now leading the current AOR scene, William is sending out high-quality AOR from the north, and we can't wait to see what he does next!
The Japanese version includes a re-recorded version of the non-album track "You Are Runnin'" currently available on YouTube, as well as three bonus tracks: a cover of Pages' "Come On Home" that will make AOR fans smile, and a cover of David Roberts' "Wrong Side of the Tracks"!
