MANPUKU "MIYAKOWASURE" CD
Irreplaceable scenes of everyday life emerge from the gaps of the gentle, pale melodies... The second album by MANPUKU, a band made up of three members from Tama Art University. A superb pop album with a modest yet evergreen brilliance, themed on "travel."
MANPUKU was formed in 2013 as a drumless four-piece band at Tama Art University. They have gradually gained supporters with their warm songs themed on the seasons, towns, people, etc., and their self-organized event "Manpuku Onrei" which has been held at various milestones with various guests. In March 2019, one member left the band, leaving them as a three-piece band with the addition of a support member, and this is their second album, which is their first release as a band.
Following their first album "Yu-Town" in 2018, which was themed on "town," the theme of this work is "travel." The songs are themed on "breaking free from the current situation," with life-sized lyrics that value the Japanese language. These songs, with their fresh and nostalgic melodies, are arranged in a more accessible way that makes use of the band system, and they subtly but firmly resonate in the heart. Sometimes lively, sometimes sentimental, it is genuine pop music without any pretense that gently embraces and warmly embraces the listener. I hope that many people will listen to it, especially in these difficult times.
