Alive! is a jazz/fusion unit that was active mainly on the US West Coast from the late 70s to the 80s. Although it was composed of only women, it received enthusiastic support for its aggressive and skillful performances, and was also highly praised in a wide range of scenes from free soul to club jazz from the 90s to the 00s for its groove-filled sound and stylish Brazilian flavor. This third album, released in 1982, is known for including "Skindo Le Le" (M5), a famous club jazz/Brazil super killer that has been loved by listeners all over the world, just like the original Viva Brasil version, but it is also a superb album full of 80s West Coast feeling, including the light jazz vocal number "City Life" (M1) and the Cedar Walton masterpiece "Afreaka" (M4), which is also familiar from the recording by Lee Morgan!
