V.A."City Soul: Celebrate - Today's Soul, AOR & Blue Eyed Soul" CD

The fourth compilation CD will be released, offering a real experience of the popular new disc guide "City Soul Disc Guide - Enjoying City Pop, Soul, AOR & Blue Eyed Soul"!

City Soul is a concept word to introduce AOR & Blue Eyed Soul, soul with a similar taste to City Pop, which is experiencing a revival boom, and which you should listen to together. The two books "City Soul Disc Guide" (published by DU BOOKS) and this compilation CD series are the core of the project, and it has been well received.

Like the previous three in the series, this fourth CD compiles many AOR and pop soul masterpieces released between 2000 and 2020 that are not widely known. There are plenty of popular songs, such as Page99's cover of Airplay's AOR representative song "Nothing You Can Do About It" by David Foster and Jay Graydon, and the English collaboration song "Love Again" by JINTANA&EMERALDS, a team of neo-city pop artists Hitomitoi. The songs are all English-language for about 80 minutes, and the comfortable groove makes them perfect for background music at work or in a store, or for driving.

Like the previous work, this one also includes a comprehensive Japanese commentary by Akira Obuchi (former editor-in-chief of BMR), author/editor of "City Soul Disc Guide" who has been introducing the Western music scene, mainly black music, for many years, in which he provides a thorough explanation of the current state of "city soul"!
