BOB MARLEY & THE WAILERS “Studio Recordings Intro to the Matrix” CD
Immediately after releasing their first international album, "Catch a Fire," they toured the U.S. in 1973, but ended up upsetting the main act, Sly & the Family Stone, and were dropped from the tour. The young Jamaican lions then performed a legendary live show at the Matrix in San Francisco, which became a substitute live show. This work is a studio jam for the live show at the Matrix, which became a big topic in the autobiography, and the existence of the recording was unknown until P-Vine released it on CD in 2005. With the strongest lineup of Bob Marley (vo/g), Peter Tosh (vo/g), Joe Higgs (per), Earl Lind (keyboard/d), Familyman Barrett (b), and Carlton Barrett (d), they hit the reggae, or rather rock spirit that is the Trench Town Experience. Songs such as "Star It Up," which was full of sweet rocksteady mood, are transformed into fierce rock and burn in the live show. This is a miraculous reissue of the original recording that was first released in the world.
