V.A. "Jazzy to Lo-Fi Hip Hop - Chill Beat Collection" CD

A historic compilation album that covers everything from the jazzy hip hop that defined an era to the lo-fi hip hop that was featured on TV Asahi's "Kanjam Zenpennen Show" and became a hot topic!

It's not mainstream, nor has it been praised, but this music has continued for over a decade without fading, and it still inspires me in 2020. Let's start with this album. - Mabanua (Origami PRODUCTIONS)

◆Lo-fi hip-hop has become a big movement since last year, mainly through subscription services. This album includes songs by many current artists, including Ninjoi., who was well-received for his Japan tour with Kero One and his live and direct appearance on TBS Radio's "After 6 Junction," a culture program listened to by Rhymester's Utammaru.

◆The album includes a selection of songs from the jazzy hip-hop of the past, including Hocus Pocus, Jazz Liberatorz, and Specifics, as well as Japanese artists such as AYBForce, ANAN RYOKO, Bulljun, and Tonda Trio, all of which are enjoyable for modern lo-fi hip-hop listeners.

◆The artwork is an homage to the illustrations that symbolize lo-fi hip-hop, by illustrator Hokekyo Tashiro. This is a compilation that I highly recommend as background music for reading, studying, or relaxing.
