Singer/guitarist Shinji Miyake continues to walk the path of rock and roll rooted in blues and soul. To celebrate his 60th birthday, the band The Red Rocks was formed for the event "Red Thanks 3days" held at Star Pines Cafe in Kichijoji, Tokyo in March 2021. In addition to the three members of The Spoonful led by Miyake -- Takahashi "Jr." Tomoharu (JUNGAPOP, FBM, etc.), KOTEZ (KOTEZ & YANCY, blues.the-butcher-590213, etc.), AKANE (EMILAND, ex-Zukunashi) -- the band also includes a luxurious lineup of Mikio Ito (Ulfuls, Aki Yashiro, etc.), Keisuke Ulful, MONKY (MONKY & FANCY BIRDS, IRIE JAZZ SESSION, etc.), and MAKOTO (JABBERLOOP)! Following the album "Red Thanks" released in October 2021, they have completed a Japanese blues album! This album is dedicated to the great bluesmen and women whom Miyake respects dearly, and features 11 songs recorded in one take, with no gimmicks whatsoever!
