OLLIE NIGHTINGALE "I Don't Know Why I Love You c/w I'll Take Care Of You" 7inch

★Limited First Edition

Memphis-based singer Ollie Nightingale's 1973 release, "Sweet Surrender," is an outstanding masterpiece representing Southern Soul of that era. This is a reissue of the 7-inch single released in '71, preceding the album. The A-side, "I Don't Know Why I Love You," also famously covered by Lynn White (in '93), is simply superb. The comfortably sophisticated sound and deep singing with her high-pitched voice are irresistible. It's now an exceptional track popular as crossover soul. The B-side, "I'll Take Care Of You," is a funky cover of a Bobby Bland number. The original is a hard-to-find record. Don't miss this opportunity.
