Brief Encounter is a nine-member soul/funk group centered around the four Bailey brothers from North Carolina. This is a reissue of their single, which was suddenly released in 2010 and was their first work in 29 years since their second album "We Want to Play" in 1981. The original was a limited release of 500 copies, with all profits intended to be donated to Haiti earthquake relief efforts in January 2010, and is now extremely rare. While the boogie track "Shake And Move," reminiscent of Lakeside, is powerful, the B-side, the sweet medium "I Want You So Much," is superb. It's a remarkably soulful and mellow gem that seems understated but truly isn't.
