"K-PUNK Acid Communism: A Roadmap for the Future" by Mark Fisher, translated by Sebastian Breuil and Ruri Kawanami
ISBN:978-4-910511-80-1
Charting a new direction for prosperity for all
The best selection series from the blog "K-PUNK," which established the popularity of Mark Fisher, the thinker/critic widely known for "Capitalist Realism," is finally complete!
The third volume revisits the American and Italian counterculture of the 1960s and analyzes the moment when we were most liberated from "capitalist realism," including the unfinished "Acid Communism," as well as his sharp-tongued essays and thoughts on "possibilities for the future," including "Escape from Vineyard Castle," which harshly criticized the "gentrifying left" and sparked fierce debate in the UK.
Fischer's final work, which calls for people to stop their mutually draining vampirism and instead come together again around "the convergence of class consciousness, socialist-feminist consciousness-making, and psychedelic consciousness," seems especially worth reading now.
