Haruhisa "hally" Tanaka
Game history/game music history researcher. A leading expert in chiptune research, he published his latest book, *Where Did Game Music Come From: The History and Structure of Game Sound*, last October. His other major works include *All About Chiptunes*, and he has supervised books such as *New Edition: Game Music Disc Guide 1*. Alongside his involvement in various game soundtrack productions, he is active as a musician, providing tracks for software and music albums, and performing as a DJ and live act both domestically and internationally.
